On the file configuration page you can set the file upload size, default image, enable files and do some video settings. You can find this page by following these steps:
- Go to Configure at the top menu in Admin.
- Choose File Configuration at the left menu.
Maximum file size
Determine the maximum file size for uploads (in MB). The maximum allowed size is 500 MB, but we recommend the default size of 75 MB. That is the most likely amount to achieve successful uploads and avoid large uploads that take too much disk space.
This image will be used as a backup image and will be shown when no image has been added to an item. For example in the challenge idea widget. This widget uses images from the challenge ideas. If no image is added to the challenge idea the, the widget shows the default image.
Supported file types
You can decide what kind of file types should be allowed for members to upload:
Images: jpeg, jpg, pjpeg, png, gif
Videos: mpg, mpeg, mov, avi, wmv, mp4, 3gp, 3gpp, m4v, m2v, qt
Documents: pdf, doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx
The video upload timeout time is the maximum time that the system waits for a file to upload. The time you fill in at this setting is the time it will try to access the server. We advise to keep this at 1000 milliseconds (1 sec).
