Screeners are important mechanisms to recruit participants to research projects. To ease the process of recruiting users to a CMNTY Platform, we offer an alternative to importing and email inviting participants by redirecting recruits to the registration page directly from the screener. This solution is great for private platforms, since only those directed from the screener with their required identification codes can register to the platform from these links.
How Screener Redirects Work
CMNTY Platform offers a specific format and information to be passed into the platform using the following redirect link template:
The variables above, K2, PSID, & PSID are identifying variables, but each can be optional depending on the recruitment source.
K2 is a standard variable that can be used for all links. A typical use-case is K2=1. In cases where no identifying variables are needed, K2 can be used alone. K2 can also be used to identify different recruitment sources, so you can assign each source a unique K2 value. Ex: https://platformname.cmnty.com/authorize/screener?k2=1
PSID is an alphanumeric identifying variable that is required by the system. If no PSID is included in the redirect to the platform, a random PSID will be assigned when the participant registers. PSID is included in exports from the platform, so can be used to identify registered recruits with the recruitment source.
PID is a numeric identifying variable that is required by the system. If no PID is included in the redirect to the platform, a random PID will be assigned when the participant registers. Screener Redirects Set-up
To enable screener linking for your platform, in Participants > Panel > Screener, add your screener URL or any URL to the Screener/Opt-in Link field. The Client Security Key field is optional. Once set-up, you can test your screener registration link and confirm access to the registration page.
