Tagging Notes

Notebook allows your members to classify content using a system of categorized tags for both notes and assessments.

Members can tag both their own content and other member’s content. Notebook Note Tags are tags that can be pre-set by community managers. Members can use these tags within the note sections of Notebook to highlight and tag the description.

Add a note tag You can add a Note Tag by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Configure page at the top menu.
  2. Choose Categories at the left menu.
  3. Choose Notebook Note Tag.
  4. Select Options and then Tags.
  5. Click on Add Note Tag to create a new tag within this category. Fill in a name and a description for the tag and save your tag with the save button in the upper right corner. The tag will automatically get a similar color tone as the other tags in the category.

Notebook assessment tag Notebook Assessment Tags are tags that can be pre-set by community managers. Members can use these tags within the note sections of Notebook to tag the assessment. You can add an Assessment Tag by following the steps below:

    1. Go to the Configure page at the top menu.
    2. Choose Categories at the left menu.
    3. Choose Notebook Assessment Tag.
    4. Select Options and click Tags.
    5. Click on Add Assessment Tag to create a new tag within this category. Fill in a name and a description for the tag and save your tag with the save button in the upper right corner. The tag will automatically get a similar color tone as the other tags in the category.

If you don’t want members to be able to tag each others’ content, you can turn off the member permission for Add Tags To Everyone’s Note by following the steps below:

  1. Go to the Configure page at the top menu.
  2. Choose Users.
  3. Choose Permissions under the sub-heading Notebook.
