Using Markdown in the Discussion Board

 

The Discussion Board module is one of the first in CMNTY Platform to support the Markdown language. This allows you to add styling to your message without having to code HTML. While the toolbar for a new Discussion supports Bolded and Italic text, Bullet and Number lists, Hyperlink, Emojis, @Mentioning, and Images; the entire Markdown specification is supported.

Markdown editor allows for Preview Mode to see how your content will be formatted when posted. Click the “eye” icon to enter Preview Mode.

 
Markdown offers a dynamic formatting tool to use in addition to the toolbar options. Below we outline the functions offered within the Markdown language:

Paragraphs are separated
by a blank line.

Two spaces at the end of a line  
produces a line break.

Text attributes _italic_, 
**bold**, `monospace`.
